Key Domestic Economic Indicators in 2026Q2: The real GDP grew by 12.93％. The value of export orders reached US$272.19 billion, marking a year-on-year increase of 51.56％. Total exports were valued at US$ 220.93 billion, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 43.73％. The industrial production index and the manufacturing industry production index increased to 134.22 and 136.64, respectively, indicating a year-on-year increase of 16.47％ and 17.57％.

As of the end of June 2026, a total of 245,794 businesses were registered in Taipei City, representing a year-on-year increase of 0.77%. The registered capital of enterprises in Taipei City reached NT$16.11 trillion, representing an increase of 3.21% over the same period last year. The number of registered factories in Taipei City was 868, indicating an annual decrease of 2.80％.
In terms of operational performance, Taipei City had 255,319 profit-seeking enterprises, which together generated a total revenue of NT$6.94 trillion—an annual increase of 18.13％. Specifically, the tertiary sector (services) recorded total sales of NT$5.61 trillion, representing an annual growth of 18.34％.
Regarding foreign investment, approved foreign investments in Taipei City totaled US$1.47 billion, marking an annual decrease of 63.55％. Additionally, the number of newly established foreign-owned companies in Taipei City increased to 52, representing an annual growth of 36.84％.
