Key Domestic Economic Indicators in 2024: The real GDP grew by 4.59％. The value of export orders reached US$589.55 billion, marking a year-on-year increase of 5.08％. Total exports were valued at US$475.07 billion, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 9.86％. The industrial production index and the manufacturing industry production index increased to 95.96 and 95.73, respectively, indicating a year-on-year increase of 11.45％ and 11.93％.

As of the end of December 2024, a total of 242, 546 businesses were registered in Taipei City, reflecting an increase of 2,711 businesses compared to the previous year, with a year-on-year growth rate of 1.13％. The registered capital of enterprises in Taipei City reached 15.42 trillion, which represents an increase of 4.71％ over the same period last year. The number of registered factories in Taipei City was 891, indicating an annual decrease of 3.15％.

In terms of operational performance, Taipei City had 251,798 profit-seeking enterprises, which together generated a total revenue of NT$18.39 trillion—an annual increase of 7.36％. Specifically, the tertiary sector (services) recorded total sales of NT$14.92 trillion, representing an annual growth of 7.72％.

Regarding foreign investment, approved foreign investments in Taipei City totaled US$41.51 hundred million, marking a significant annual decrease of 54.34％. Additionally, the number of newly established foreign-owned companies in Taipei City declined to 195, an annual reduction of 12.16％.
