With the ripple effect created by the global professional e-Sport league, the 2015 global game output value has reached 91.5 billion according to an international marketing survey institution report. Among them, mobile games outperformed the other categories. Moreover, statistics from the biggest global game video streaming platform, Twich showed that Taipei city is the city with the largest global traffic ranking. Its e-Sport population, audience or consumption may more or less sustain the development of some e-Sport related industries. Therefore, starting from September 2015, the Taipei City Government has been promoting a series of campaigns for the meeting including an e-Sport seminar, e-Sport World Cup broadcast and promo general assembly with the City Mayor in attendance to promote the slogan called “Taipei empowered e-Sport to move on to championship and second place”. Many expected that powered by government officials, Taipei can support the development of the e-Sport industry, and supplement the e-Sport industry with new motivation through a division of labor among each agency for negotiation.

The Taipei City Government actively plans to provide each civil service that connects with technology and i-City to become an important goal for civil construction. Through the implementation of the Taipei City i-City project, the government allows the information and communication industry to have a good testing ground as its backup force so that the citizens may enjoy the good results of intelligent service; in terms of education, the government provides the smarter education CooC-Cloud. Teachers and students can use the Taipei CooC-Cloud for smarter education anytime and anywhere only if they use the interface, which is easy to use. In terms of civil service, the government also provides the Taipei Civil Affairs-Cloud service, Taipei Service Cloud and the Taipei Card integrated service by combining the latest technology and information service so that its citizens can enjoy a more convenient life.

In the Taipei City business districts there are many easy to navigate night markets for shopping and for eating a tasty meal or snack. Many different and interesting events are organized each summer. There is a wide variety of gourmet foods offered at the night markets as well as a summer fun camera shooting event that attracts both domestic and international tourists. Taiwan’s largest center for materials and accessories in the Zhaoyang Business District, also holds an “Innovative Design Contest.” The public can use the Taipei image as an axis for the design of innovative and unique fashionable T-shirts or other creative commodities.

Dadaocheng has long been the most important center in Taipei for groceries and dry foods, including tea and the ingredients for Chinese herbal medicines, not to mention fabrics. Over the past Century, Dadaocheng has brought Taipei great fortune. History shows the contribution to the economy of Taiwan to be most substantial. A music and Fireworks Festival organized by the Taipei City Government was held in Dadaocheng on September 26th 2015. This most spectacular fireworks display, held at the Yenping Riverside Park, caused much excitement. In addition to the glorious fireworks show, a series of other events are regularly held around the Dadaocheng area. Bring your lovers, families, and friends to Dadaocheng for an exciting and enjoyable summer break.

Along with the launch of new Taipei City Government policy, much public space of has been released and converted into citizen community farms. Some farmers have even provided space for the organization of citizen farms. There are also farms on many city balconies and roofs where the tasks and fun is shared by members of a group. Farming is not an easy task and many difficult problems arise which need careful attention. To help with such problems the City Government now runs training sessions in the planting of seedlings for community farmers as well as other gardening seminars which are held periodically. An agricultural technology service group has also been set up to provide comprehensive services and to offer solutions to diverse problems and to ultimately build Taipei into a Garden City.

The Taipei City Government would like to build Taipei into a LOHAS and recreational “garden city”. In addition to establish a Center of Community Gardens to promote public farms through the “Citizens’ opinion exchange” and “Mutual learning of communities”, the garden bank network platform has been created to provide useful agricultural information. Farms have been opened for “adoption” by citizen groups to allow members to gain experience in the planting of vegetables and fruit as urban farmers. Citizens farms have been built on idle suburban farmlands under the guidance of experienced farmers to allow citizens to gain farming experience and to understand the real value of agriculture.

There are various business starting patterns either taking shape or transforming throughout the world as a result of different development conditions such as the financial environment, infrastructure, penetration rate of mobile devices, and attitude of the supervisory authority. ICE Technology applied for the “Taipei Industrial Development Incentive Program” in 2012 and received the subsidies for its “innovative platform that helps with smart decision making in financial transactions”. The platform combines real-time message transmission technology and financial transaction service in one, and assists investors in assessing their investment while deciding on the cost in order to minimize transaction risk. ADTC applied for the “Taipei Industrial Development Incentive Program” in 2015 and its focus was on the subsidies for labor and salaries in order to realize popularity of mobile payments and their advanced application and to provide consumers with more diversified service, spearheading the rapid development and industrial upgrade of mobile payment in Taiwan.

Encouraging youth to start their own business is one of the priorities of the Taipei City Government in its administration for the future. There is one-stop venture service available as part of the venture cluster that the government tries to create to proactively integrate and manage existing spaces pending utilization throughout Taipei and continue integrating central or private incubation centers or shared workspaces while planning a venture exchange platform for business starters. The venue and public equipment at the innovation base are at their disposal. The hope is to build Taipei into a city friendly for young people wishing to start their own business and fulfill their dream. The “StartUP@Taipei” statistics show that there are 26 incubation centers, 32 investment institutes, 29 shared workspaces, and 11 maker spaces available at present at the venture base in Taipei, including Taipei Co-Space, Garage+, Custard Cream, and Changee workspace . The hope is that through each venture space proactively created to help realize dreams business starters can find one another more easily.

The data sources include national statistics offices, airport arrivals, and hotel accommodation stays from 58 core countries and 77 international markets. This issue references the international consulting firm “Reputation Institute” to present the most reputable global cities in 2014, Taipei global ranking sits in 46th place (With a total score of 63.9), a significant increase in comparison to 2013 (69th). This shows that Taipei has particularly demonstrated fierce competition when it comes to its global reputation.

MasterCard Worldwide released the “Asia Pacific Destinations Index 2015” in February 2016. Taipei ranked 11th with 6.4 million tourists. By the mean length of stay of international tourists, it was 6.6 days in Taipei, second only to 9.1 days in Bali, securing second place in the Asia Pacific Region and demonstrating that the abundant and diversified tourism resources in Taipei successfully attract tourists to stay longer for an in-depth visit. As far as the amount of money international tourists spend, Taipei ranked 7th, with the annual total amount of money spent by visitors reaching USD 9.5 billion and it was named by MasterCard to be one of the benchmark cities for tourist dollars.
